2010 Winter Series Outline

The 2010 winter series will follow the same structure as 2009.  The racing categories are A, B, C, D and Youth(under17 & Under 15).  There will also be a Cadets race for 13 and Under.

 For each race prizes will be awarded to 1^st, 2^nd and 3^rd places for A, B, C & D race categories.

There will also be an overall series prize for the top 3 places holders in each category for the combined series result.  The combined series result is calculated based on standard MTBA points for placing in each of the series races and the accumulated points then increased by a “Loyalty” factor.  The “Loyalty” factor is determined by the number of races participated in during the 2009 winter series.  The more races competed in the higher the “Loyalty” factor.

 Cadet’s category is being added for 2009.  This is designed for the Under 13 age group or youth with little MTB experience.

These races will be run prior to the main race on either a separate course of section of the main race course.

The cadet’s races are designed to last approximately 15 minutes.

 Entry Fee

Youth and Cadets categories riders are free to enter.  Youth require either a Day Licence or MTBA membership.

A, B, C & D categories entry fee is $10 plus day licence where applicable.
